Pop Up Shop Tips

𝒜𝓈 𝓅𝓇𝑜𝓂𝒾𝓈𝑒𝒹...
I did my first pop up shop with my bestfriend at one of my local flea markets yesterday. Here are some tips and notes on how things went.
#𝟏: 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤
When you have down time converse and network with other vendors. You never know who you are around. 
We spoke with one lady that was organizing a 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩 & 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬! We also spoke with a guy who was working to get more 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 listed in directories.
#𝟐: 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬
Have 𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐒 of business cards! If you have a partner, friend or family member with you...have them pass out your business cards while you're working your table/event.
#𝟑: 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞
If you sell 𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐓 of products, know your prices!
Try to categorize items buy price point.
Write down your prices so that you have something to refer back to.
Have price tags or signs readily available.
#𝟒: 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲
If you sell clothing like I do. Have a variation of sizes and colors.
A lot of customers were looking for larger sizes.
#𝟓: 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬
A simple, hello...how're you or good morning goes a long way!
It makes you seem more approachable and welcoming.
It also grabs the attention of passers and sometimes stops them in their tracks.
#𝟔: 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬
My bestfriend didn't have a single product on hand at my event yesterday and she still happened to gain some potential clients and orders!
Simply talking to customers and telling them a little about your business and what you sell works!
#𝟕: 𝐆𝐨 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐬
Whether you're selling from a table or a store. Area matters! 
Go where there is high foot traffic. Have you event is busy areas.
You're more than likely to get more customers that way.
#𝟖: 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐎𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝
Even though we're in the digital age of ca$happ and PayPal, still keep cash on hand. 
Almost every sale I made yesterday, was a cash sale. 
Make sure you have enough change on hand.
**Accept multiple forms of payment!
**Print out your ca$happ tag so people can pay you easily!
